It started with something that should have been simple. I wanted to order a few products that weren't available in India, found them after a long search on Amazon Global, and then the seller couldn't deliver to my address. I tried other products, other platforms. Same wall every time. I couldn't trust the seller, the quality, or whether it would even arrive. So I gave up on the order. Then I started hearing the same story from people around me, and I realised this wasn't my problem. It was everyone's.
I've always been wired this way: when something's broken, I can't leave it alone until I understand why. So I went and talked to 37+ sellers, operators, and logistics professionals across the US and EU. The thesis became clear:
